alexis stone did not put on a mask and replace him or anything like that. the guy has been jumping on already-viral moments for years claiming “it was actually me,” i’ve lost count at this point. the “mask” image he shared is blatantly ai-generated. jim carrey’s representative even made a statement telling people to stop, but of course, that didn’t change anything...
it is being said that the person we saw at the award ceremony was actually the makeup artist alexis stone. if that is true, it is honestly a pretty solid troll. the level of transformation would make the whole thing less of a red carpet moment and more of a performance piece.
there’s this common assumption that “a person’s eye color doesn’t change,” but that’s not entirely accurate. just as babies’ eye colors change, adults’ eyes can gradually shift toward green, hazel, or blue as they age. i’ve seen it with my own grandfather.
this is a claim that really bothers me, one i keep seeing on various pages throughout the day. i used to love jim carrey.. my childhood was shaped by his movies. for those who are quick to dismiss this as nonsense, let me say this upfront: haven’t we witnessed enough so-called “conspiracy theories” turn out to be true?
