are there any places left where you can just hang out without spending money
it seems like nowadays, almost every place expects you to make a purchase. sitting in a cafe means you’re expected to order, and if you linger too long, people start to take notice. malls, which once allowed groups to wander for hours, are now either empty, strict, or designed to discourage lingering. even parks and public spaces have rules that make it clear you’re not meant to linger. when we were younger, there were always spots where you and your friends could gather, chat, and pass the time without worrying about money. now, it feels like every outing comes with a price tag.
has the world truly changed, or does it just feel that way as we get older?
