one of those ai companies. founded by former openai researchers, including dario amodei and daniela amodei, who basically said alignment first, vibes later and walked out.

us government officially designates ai company anthropic a “supply chain risk” if true, this is not a minor bureaucratic note. that label is typically used in national security contexts for foreign adversaries (think huawei or kaspersky) not a u.s.-based ai lab like anthropic.
